Glenn Ford, the lead developer for Gaslands, discusses all the ins and outs of being able to legally place the CE mark on the back of your game box.

There are a ton of misconceptions and misinformation about the process, and Glenn goes through everything step-by-step to make sure it’s crystal clear.

Fantastic interview and quite insightful on a topic for which I possessed absolutely no knowledge!

Thanks Joe, I think its a bit easier to find out the info on it as someone in the EU (as long as that remains true) so hopefully it’ll help out those looking to import their games from the US to the EU. Gabe was great and really prompted me on this, but I did forget to mention one of the other big loopholes that I hear mentioned and that’s “collectors item, not a toy”. I know that modern boardgames are widely and seriously collected but for the EU a collectors item is something that is intended to sit on a shelf, or ideally in a glass cabinet, as a collectors item. If something is meant to be taken down, handled and played with, then its a toy.
