Gabe thanks for the bonus podcast and good luck on your launch. While listening I had an idea for you as I’m conscerned about your launch window running up against backer’s Christmas budgets. What would you think about offering a “voucher” or card that a person could give as a gift for the holidays, to be fullfilled when you shop in August? Think star wars toys way back in the day. Have you seen any campaigns use a similar strategy? Could you ship to a person that’s not the backer? Could you draft a notice to the gift recipient, explaining crowd funding and what the backing means to you as a creator? I think all these factors could add up to more backers, but at the same time bring more consumers into the crowd funding sphere and gaming hobby in general. It’s always great listening to you and Mr.Stegmaier. Good luck in the forth quarter and I’m going to enjoy keeping up with your campaign over the holidays.
That could be possible. Of course, if someone wanted to give the game as a Christmas gift, they could just print off something on their own and then put the recipient’s address in the pledge manager.
Thanks for the support!
